Highland East Institute was built in the 1800's by a man named Arnold Rosario in Berkeley California. He spent many years, building the school, alone, with a limited amount of tools and supplies and yet, he managed to create the most wonderful thing known to the Rosario family. He had built it deep in the back woods of a giant manor, that had been deserted long ago, fitting his school together with enough mystery to last a life time, and enough creativity to bewilder many in the future.
After Arnold Rosarios death, the school became old and deserted, having not been shown to anyone.
Although the schools history began back then, it's story had yet to begin.

It had been a fine day for a walk, and so thats exactly what Camila Rosario, a music and rhythm teacher, had done. She lived but houses away from Pacific Manor, the place she loved dearly to explore and wander. Most people thought it was impossible to get in, with it's immense fences that reached to the sky and it's viscious animals that seemed to guard the house, but Camila and her crew knew better.

At first, they had been just like the rest, clueless and frustrated, but having been ignorant and young, they didn't give up on trying to find a way to get in. Finally, three years after their first try, James Alder found a give in the manors fence. You could slowly pull it away from the ground. It took patience but they did it. Camila also found that the dogs and animals that lived in the manor, were more friendly than vicious.

And so, Camila called on her friends, James Alder, the photographer, Melody Aheant, the artisit, Daniel Jacobs, the actor, Alec Denver, the journalist and Leo Haynes, the dancer. They then went up to the manor. It would be their last time as visitors, for soon it would belong to them forever. They spent the entire afternoon in the manor, searching for new discoveries just waiting to be found, reading things that hadn't been read in over decades, until they noticed for the first time, the small forest behind that manor. There was no access to it from outside of the manor, but when you were inside, there were many doors that led to the woods deep cedars.
Curiosity kicking in, they lept at their chance and explored the forest.
It was Daniel Jacobs who found the school first, announcing it to the crew. They counldn't believe no one had noticed a giant school in the middle of a forest for countless years. They looked at each other with determination to finish their mission of searching, and entered the unlocked school. This my friends is where the story began.

They left the place, and never told anyone for a long time. All the while they continued their lives and kept what they had found to themselves until James came up with an idea. They had grown into their twenties by then and were looking for jobs so, James had begun thinking about making a school and using the old school in the forest.At first they were all reluctant but over the years the idea became more appealing and finally they carved up enough money to buy and renovate the school from the property. The property sellers were so shocked to have a buyer for the forest that they offered them the house as well. This was a dream come true for Camila and everyone knew it, but there was one problem, she didn't have enough money to pay for the house as well. For a long time they owned only the forest until Daniel, James, Melody, Leo and Alec came up with surprise money for the house. It wasn't until later that they found a small journal in one of the giant classrooms. This journal was writen by the school's constructor and maker, Arnold Rosario.

Since then the manor has been named Rosario Manor and it's school, Highland East Institute, an amazing high school for the arts and those who want to pursue them.
